About
Broadmoor Studio is one developer. The engines are hand written, the physics is real, and everything we make opens in a browser tab with nothing to install.
What we make
Small 3D games built around one idea each, rather than one big game built around a genre. Every game starts from a verb nobody else is using, then gets built until that verb feels good. The art is simple on purpose. The simulation underneath is not.
Redlight Gaslight takes the brakes off a city bus and makes every intersection a decision. The city streams in around you as you drive it: whole neighborhoods roll past in sequence, suburbs into town, town into downtown, downtown into the neon strip. Cross traffic is real physics, the police pursuit builds the longer you survive, and running a red light on camera is the whole point of the game rather than the failure state. Your route draws itself on a map in the corner as you go, one turn at a time.
How it is built
One developer writes the code, the tools, and the games. Hand written engines in C++ compiled for the browser, or built directly on WebGL. The physics is simulated rather than faked, which is why the bus in Redlight Gaslight rolls when you corner it badly.
How it is paid for
The games on this site are free to play, and the pages carry ads.
